Farro began playing drums at around the age of nine, and he was eleven years old when he utilized his first drum kit.[edit] Influences
Some of his favorite bands include: Jimmy Eat World, Radiohead, Death Cab for Cutie, Mew, Paper Route, Sigur Ros, Thrice, Sunny Day Real Estate and Mum.[1] Farro has been influenced by Dave Grohl (former drummer of Nirvana and current singer/songwriter of Foo Fighters and drummer for Them Crooked Vultures), William Goldsmith (former drummer of Sunny Day Real Estate and Foo Fighters, replaced by Taylor Hawkins) and Riley Breckenridge (drummer for the band, Thrice). His favorite songs to perform live are "Misery Business", "My Heart" and "For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic".[edit] Paramore
Main article: Paramore
Paramore was created in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004, with Hayley Williams (lead vocals/keyboards) alongside Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar) and Zac Farro (drums). Prior to forming Paramore,[2] the other members of what was soon to be Paramore had been "edgy about the whole female thing" of having Williams as singer, but as they were good friends she began writing with them and eventually became a member. Jeremy Davis was also unsure if the band could be taken seriously because of zac's young age, he changed his mind after their first practice session when he watched zac play and realised he had talent.[3] The band has released three studio albums, All We Know Is Falling and Riot!, as well as two live albums and one EP. Their third album, brand new eyes was released on September 29, 2009. In June 2009, the band welcomed Taylor York (rhythm guitar). They knew Taylor York for many years and he played with them for several shows but was never an actual member.[edit] Gear
Zac is currently endorsing Gretsch Drums, Pro-Mark sticks, Zildjian cymbals and Remo drum heads. He was previously sponsored by Truth Custom Drums and Meinl Percussion.[edit] Side Project
Zac has recorded tracks outside of Paramore by himself and with Josh Farro. These songs were never released. Tracks include:- Far
